Bit locker is used for creating Encryption on local disk to protect our personal files/documents from the attackers. The Bit locker uses the XTS-AES encryption algorithm with a 128-bit or 256-bit key. Now I will show you the easiest way to enable and disable Bit locker encryption in Microsoft windows 10. So, go forward step by step with the illustrations.
Note: Always remember if you forget your Bit lockers password,don’t worry you can recover your disk’s password by Bit locker Recovery key but if you lose your Bit locker Recovery Key and also you forget your disk password, you totally lose your files/documents because you do not have any source to recover your files.
1: Firstly, go to the Search box and right down control panel to open the control panel items. You can also open the control panel by right clicking on the local disk whichever you selected to active Bit locker encryption on it.

2: Just Click on Bit locker Drive Encryption.
3: Now click on Turn on Bit locker.
4: Only click on use a password to unlock the Drive.
5: Type your password and retype your password in order to confirm it then click on Next.
6: Here you have four options to get your Bit locker recovery key. We use the first one in order to save your recovery key on your Microsoft account. We use the second one to save our recovery key in our flash drive if we have inserted it in our PC. The third one will save your recovery key in your PC and the last one is used to print your Bit locker recovery key.
7: Browse your Bit locker recovery key after that click on Save.
8: If you want to apply this encryption on used disk space only click on first one but if you want to apply this encryption on an entire Drive so, click on second one later than click on Next.
9: Here some conditions are given to us. If our PC has the new version of windows 10 (version of 1511) or higher version, we have to choose number one. If our PC has the old version of windows 10 only choose the second one after that click on Next.
10: Just click on start encrypting.
11: Wait until the encryption completes.
12: At last you have enabled the Bit locker on your disk.
13: In this step if you want to disable the Bit locker. Again go to the Bit locker drive encryption later than click on Turn off Bit locker.
14: Again click on Turn off Bit locker.
Congratulation! Finally you disabled the Bit locker.
