In this post you will learn How to Enable or Disable Hibernate Option in Windows 10 Start Menu
Hibernate is a good option instead of shutdown for those laptop and desktop users whom want to have quick access back to their works after they start up their PCs. When you shut down your PC, first it will close all the Programs and Files, then Windows itself shutdowns but if you use the Hibernate option it will only shutdown the Windows and all other Programs and Files will be remaining open as they are and when you come back and start up your PCs, after Windows Logons all the Programs and Files will be open and ready back for your works.
Now as shown in picture below Windows 10 has no Hibernate Option Enabled by Default
Here are a few simple steps to enable Hibernate Option in Windows 10 Laptop and Desktop PCs.
Step 1: Press Windows Logo + R to Open the Run Window
Step 2: Type Control command then press Enter to open Control Panel
Step 3: Click on click on Category then select Large icons
Step 4: Click on Power Options to open Power Options settings
Step 5: Click on Choose what the power buttons do link settings
Step 6: Now you can see the Hibernate Option appears but it is disable, if you want to enable it, click on Change settings that are currently unavailable link settings
Step 7: Now the Hibernate Option checkbox is on, tick the checkbox and click on Save changes button
Step 8: Now go to Start Menu and click on Power Button, see the Hibernate Option Appears
Now you can use the Hibernate option anytime you want to Hibernate your Laptop or Desktop PC instead of Shutdown PC.
